Three Quincy Interact Clubs are Doing The Giving Tree With Rotary.
Quincy High, North Quincy High and Woodward School for Girls are participating in the Rotary Giving Tree Project.
Trees are purchased by individuals, clubs, businesses and offices and decorated. The decorated trees will be displayed two holiday weekends (Thanksgiving & the first weekend in December) at Kilroy Square in Quincy. Tickets for voting are $1 and available at the Rotary tent. Giving Tree prizes will be awarded and the trees will be raffled off. Some will be donated to local Nursing Homes. All proceeds will go to Needy Families identified by the school nurses at Quincy and North Quincy High School.
DISTRICT Youth COUNCIL UPDATES
Calling ALL Interact Club Advisors!!!
We would love to have 2 of your students join our Student Youth Council. There is still time for this great opportunity!
Please contact Stephanie(email below) for the info to join this monthly meeting.
Maria Ricardo (17) from Columbia is spending the current school year on Martha's Vineyard. She's settling in well, making friends, and keeping up with her classes. She also joined a contemporary dance class at Kaleidescope Dance Studio on Tuesday nights, which she’s really enjoying.
Recently, we took a trip to New York City, and she had a fantastic experience. She loved exploring Times Square, seeing the Empire State Building, and, of course, getting in some shopping. It was a great experience for her to experience such an iconic American city for the first time. On the Vineyard, things are getting colder than she's used to, but otherwise she is adjusting well and looking forward to the year ahead.
